My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Old School House. Our room was clean and comfortable and the location is amazing. It's peaceful and quiet - you can't really complain about being woken up by the lambs!! Karen and Bernie are wonderful and a home cooked breakfast from Karen is something to be experienced! We'll definitely be back!!

My husband and I arrived at The Old School House and were immediately greeted by Karen and Bernie, a very friendly and warm couple.

We were shown to our room - a comfortable double, which contained everything we needed: TV, freeview, comfortable bed and plenty of storage for clothes etc, along with a well stocked tea tray.

Karen immediately offered us a cup of tea/coffee, which we enjoyed with them in their conservatory while chatting.

Our stay was for two nights as we were attending a local car rally school (which incidentally is great fun and well worth a visit if you are looking or something to do - www.HigginsRallySchool.com).

The surrounding area will be absolutely stunning in spring/summer - ideal for walkers etc.

The two nights we stayed were warm and comfortable with Karen and Bernie on hand for anything we needed - (not that there was anything else we could have needed).

There is nothing to disturb your sleep and and breakfast was very tasty and filling.

Karen even accomodated our early breakfast as we were due at the Rally School early - which we really appreciated.

This is a fantastic B&B and the owners could not have been more welcoming or obliging.

They were excellent with directions and information of places to eat etc.

All in all this was the best experience of a B&B we have had and we would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

We wish Karen and Bernie every success in their business - it was more like visiting family than a B&B, very nice, welcoming, comfortable and priced very competitively.

What B & B is all about. Wonderful food and great rooms. Karen and Bernie make you feel like family and are keen to answer any questions about their locality and help with suggestions for walking. cycling or driving to view the local countryside.

My partner & I stayed at the Old School House last August. As seasoned travellers we were so impresssed with the very warm welcome we recevied from Karen & Bernie. They could not do enough to make our stay a pleasurable one. We felt we had found a home from home amongst some breathtaking and peaceful countryside. Truly a great place for some R&R - thank you.

The hospitality was excellent, clean and comfortable rooms.The area is wonderful = great for walking cycling and birdwatching. We will definitely come again.
